My brother and I became hardworking out of the blue on Saturday... :D I washed my shoes, he washed his clothes... My mom was surprised. Haha :DWoke up and read a note my mom left for my sis, saying my sis didn't have to hoover if she felt tired... :-k Don't know why but we didn't hoover anyway :P Washed my shoes and put them out to dry. Guess what happened ten minutes later? It started to rain :DHad to take the bus to Plaza Pelangi because my dad wasn't free. Sometimes, an overimaginative mind isn't a good thing :D While waiting for the bus near my house, I saw a guy walking towards me carrying a hoe. Cringed when I imagined him hitting my head with it :P No worries, he past me without much incident. Except that even the dogs were wary of him and started barking :D It's funny... when I walked past them, they just lay in the middle of the road and didn't even stir. They started barking even before he was near them... when they were still separated by a huge drain. Hmm... or perhaps it was because they smelt my fear... Haha~ :PAnyway, I stupidly decided to take 101 to Plaza Pelangi, completely forgetting that it's the Extremely Rare bus that Wee Wen and I have learnt to dread :D I only thought of learning the route that bus takes. Yeesh... silly, silly me. Ended up sharing a taxi with another young woman. Ten bucks to get to Plaza Pelangi and New York Hotel. Five bucks a person. Were we cheated?? Because this Malay guy was telling us it only costs four bucks to get there... two bucks a person :DGot there at 2.45... just on time. I was in B1, together with Stella Loh (did I get her name correct? :S), Wei Ling, Jasmine, Josephine and Julia, with Vanessa Liew as our leader. Vanessa was in charge of giving us our clues, but she wasn't supposed to help us with solving it. She did give us a few hints though :P Shyanne was saying how ironic it is that Vanessa and I were in the same group, because we were very similar. Is it really ironic? Or did she really mean coincidence? Before she left, she said to Vanessa, 'Vane, remember ar...'. Then she started pointing at me and mouthing 'M'. And then she said 'Must very low one ar!' before turning around and drawing an imaginary horizontal line on her back. Started getting a feeling that she had something horrible under her sleeves... Was worried she'd make me wear a dress...We received our first clue at 3.10pm, which brought us to the car park at Basement 3. There, we were given our first task, which was a sum we had to solve and we got 4342 or something. Then we were told to find a car with that number  By the time we finally found the car, we were already sweating buckets :D We received our second task before our second clue. Our second task was a photocopied picture of some material, and we were told to find it. Then she gave us our clue, which were letters. After rearranging it, it formed the words Cold Storage. Vanessa told us that material could be found in Cold Storage. Found out it was a towel.Next, we were given a piece of paper which was shaded black. We were supposed to find Shyanne, who was an Angel who would give us hints if we got stuck but would delay us for ten minutes, to get her to erase the shading to reveal the letters. They figured out the letters without her help though :P It was Geb., that boutique on the second floor. Our third task was to choose two people to undergo 'Extreme Makeover'. Guessed what was going to happen and immediately suggested other people, but Vanessa said they did wear dresses occasionally. Wei Ling and I were chosen +5 She told us to find clothes we normally would never wear. Found a white spaghetti strapped top and a white, long flowy skirt :P Shyanne appeared and said that white top was not bad, but she chose the skirt in orange instead. That's how I ended up wearing something feminine with a wrist band and a big watch :D Later, Shyanne said I should have worn a bracelet or something... :D Hey, it's only for that treasure hunt! :P Shyanne said she wanted to get it for my birthday, but I said my birthday is next year, and told her hopefully, she'd have forgotten by then :P That top costs RM59.90 while the skirt costs RM109.90... man... we have expensive taste (H) :P Shyanne asked the lady if the top had a discount but the lady said the price was fixed. Still didn't get what she was thinking - thought she wanted to make sure it was according to the budget stated in that task - until she said she was going to buy it then so there was no chance she'd forget. Hope she was only kidding... Before we left, she pointed out a dress and said that was what she wanted me to wear initially. That dress dipped low in front and low at the back... Thank goodness I spotted something else :DI can't remember the other tasks so well. One required us to find a place with a picture as our clue. It turned out to be one of the pictures outside that Converse store. Then we were told to find the noisiest shop nearby, which is that CD shop. We had to find an album, which turned out to be a children's CD, and then choose a song to sing :D Another clue we received was a picture of that toilet sign... it was the guy's one, and that sign had a missing arm. We were told to find that toilet :D We aren't allowed to go Level 4 & 5 throughout that hunt, so it was easier. We found it on Level 2. Then we were told to find Shyanne, and she gave us forty cents :D That meant two of us had to go into that toilet, and we were told to count all the stuff inside that toilet. They counted everything, from the number of cubicles, toilets, basins and windows to the number of toilet rolls, plants and whatnot. Found out later they didn't need the number of toilet rolls and plants and whatnot :P Another clue was to find a shop that appealed to the young and old and has the most number of stars on it. Turned out to be Toy City or whatever that dratted shop is called. Why I call it the dratted shop? Because it's the shop where my team wasted the most time, looking for the value of MGB430. Searched everywhere inside that shop before Vanessa pitied us and said it was a car. Not much help, considering there were A LOT of cars inside. Finally found out it's the cars on display OUTSIDE the shop. ARGH!!! :D Even the shop assistants were looking at us funny :D Finally, we had to piece the map we were given together and find out where the treasure was. The clue was our treasure was on the other side of the rainbow. Initially, we thought it was at Rainbow House :P Then we looked at the rainbow in the map, and couldn't figure out what it meant by opposite. Vanessa pitied us again and told us to look at the other side of the map properly, and we finally noticed an X hidden among the coins in the treasure. It was at a playground. One of them stayed nearby and said she knew where that playground was, so we didn't bother to follow the map :P Ended up running VERY FAR, VERY FAST, in the WRONG DIRECTION!!! :D! And Julia wasn't even wearing sneakers or comfortable sandals. Impressive, impressive. Vanessa couldn't believe us :D She saw us running so fast and thought we knew where that playground was :DReached the playground and saw a lot of people gathered there already. Thankfully there were drinks and snacks there. It was already 5.15pm. Dad was busy and only came to pick me up at 5.50pm. Vanessa and Wei Ling waited with me, and we saw this very tall, very thin girl as one of those people advertising for that Elle Hair Studio or whatever it's called. If I'm not wrong, she's Victoria, a Form 3 student in my school. She's a Malay with very fair skin and quite rich. Tracey told me she was once a model for a bridal studio. Never found her picture though. She was standing at the entrance near McDonald, giving leaflets to people, and she was in stilettos  Impressive... I can't even walk around in that, never mind stand for so long in that. I think a lot of guys must have came up to her and asked her for her number :PDad had to pick mom up after that, and he told me to say I was late. So mom started scolding me, saying 'Cannot like that!' Rushed home and changed into my uniform. Was about to go downstairs when sis asked me to get the handphone from Pete. He told me to wait for awhile while he checked it, and meanwhile, dad kept shouting at me to hurry up, telling me to just change into my uniform, no need to comb my hair, and on and on and on. :roll:Arrived there around 6.45pm... we weren't that late after all. Typical Chinese dinners. Sat at table 96. Each table seats 10 people, and there were 96 tables... hmm... It started with a performance by three little girls, then a performance by a teenage girl playing the guzheng. She was good  That was followed by singing from the adults... didn't really enjoy the singing :P The food was alright... Embarrassed myself as usual. Never mind that. Towards the end, there was the dragon dance which I really liked! Oh yeah. They misspelt my sister's name and mine for the second time :D My sister's name became Hong Min Hui while mine became Hong Min Ning... haha :D I actually noticed the mistake while my mom didn't... not bad (H) :P Hey, what's wrong with my bro's writing!? It's perfectly readable what... why do they keep reading it wrongly? :-k Oh yeah... my grandfather's picture is in yesterday's paper! :PHmm... this post is getting REALLY long. Guess that's all for now, folks! :D
